Pedestrian Accidents in Ohio
Every year, lawmakers across the United States work aggressively to enact laws to protect pedestrians. Although endless measures are taken to safeguard those who choose to travel by foot, we continue to see these people harmed at an alarming rate. Our state continues to see an increasing problem surrounding pedestrians harmed in collisions. In fact, hundreds of pedestrians are injured by vehicles along Ohio roadways each year.
The fact that pedestrians are without protection during collisions means they are more likely to suffer serious and life-threatening injuries. Pedestrian accidents often leave victims with broken bones and other debilitating injuries that require extensive medical treatment. Many victims are left with life-altering injuries that never heal. Any victims are left to deal with permanent disabilities resulting from their accidents. Victims deserve a fighting chance to get justice after being harmed in preventable collisions. The fact that we see tens of thousands of people hospitalized each year due to the reckless and negligent actions of others is alarming. Victims can work with a reputable attorney to hold those at-fault accountable for their actions. Not only does pursuing legal options provide victims with the resources they need to move forward, but it sets precedence for other drivers to let them know that they should maintain control of their vehicles and take proactive measures to prevent harming people sharing the road. An attorney can work with you to determine what legal options are possible for your claim moving forward.
