Dayton, NV – Crash on Highway 50 near Occidental Dr Takes Two Lives

Dayton, NV (August 26, 2021) – Two people have lost their lives following a motor vehicle accident in the Dayton area. At approximately 5 p.m., on August 25, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Highway 50.

Reports from local authorities show that two vehicles were involved in a collision on Highway 50 at the intersection of Occidental Drive. The incident caused delays in the area just east of Dayton.

The Lyon County sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and secured the area. A total of two people involved in the accident sustained fatal injuries. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
