
Lauren M. Knapp
Lauren Knapp is a skilled and experienced trial lawyer. In your time of need, Ms. Knapp is the advocate you want in your corner to fight for you. She handles all aspects of litigation and has tried numerous cases.
Her practice focuses on complex commercial matters involving contract disputes, civil theft, funeral home negligence, minority shareholder oppression, insurance bad faith, sexual assault claims, human trafficking claims, and much more.
Prior to joining Burg Simpson, Ms. Knapp was a Deputy District Attorney at the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in the Special Victim’s Unit. In that unit, she prosecuted crimes against children and adults, including sexual abuse and child abuse.
Ms. Knapp obtained her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While at the University of Denver, Ms. Knapp competed on the National Trial Team for two years, winning the National Ethics Trial Competition in Sacramento, California. Ms. Knapp also won the Daniel S. Hoffman Memorial Trial Advocacy Tournament hosted at the University of Denver. Prior to law school, Ms. Knapp graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned a B.A. in History with a minor in Political Science.
